Safety operating procedures for CNC machine tools

1. Basic precautions for safe operation
1. Wear work clothes when working, and do not allow gloves to operate the machine tool.

2. Do not open the machine tool electrical protection door without permission, and do not change or delete the system files in the machine.

3. The working space should be large enough.

4. If a certain work requires two or more people to complete it together, attention should be paid to mutual coordination.

5. It is not allowed to use compressed air to clean the machine tool, electrical cabinet and NC unit.

6. Do not start the machine without the consent of the instructor.

7. Do not change the CNC system parameters or set any parameters.

2. Preparation before work

l. Carefully check whether the lubrication system is working normally. If the machine tool has not been started for a long time, you can first use manual lubrication to supply oil to each part.

2. The tool used should be consistent with the specifications allowed by the machine tool, and the tool with serious damage should be replaced in time.

3. Do not forget the tools used to adjust the tool in the machine tool.

4. After the tool is installed, one or two test cuttings should be carried out.

5. Before processing, carefully check whether the machine tool meets the requirements, whether the tool is locked and whether the workpiece is fixed firmly. Run the program to check whether the tool is set correctly.

6. Before starting the machine tool, the machine tool protective door must be closed.

III. Safety precautions during work

l. Do not touch the rotating spindle or tool; when measuring workpieces, cleaning machines or equipment, please stop the machine first.

2. The operator must not leave the post when the machine tool is running, and the machine tool must stop immediately if any abnormality is found.

3. If a problem occurs during processing, please press the reset button “RESET” to reset the system. In an emergency, press the emergency stop button to stop the machine tool, but after returning to normal, be sure to return each axis to the mechanical origin.

4. When manually changing tools, be careful not to hit the workpiece or fixture. When installing tools on the machining center turret, pay attention to whether the tools interfere with each other.

IV. Precautions after work is completed

l. Remove chips and wipe the machine tool to keep the machine tool and the environment clean.

2. Check the status of lubricating oil and coolant, and add or replace them in time.

3. Turn off the power supply and main power supply on the machine tool operation panel in turn.
